Sold in Japan as the Pulsar, and also called the Sunny in Europe and Sentra in New Zealand, the N14 chassis Pulsar was made from 1990-1995, with the GTI-R being the top trim level from 1990-1994. With a 2.0L I4 turbo, 5 speed manual, and AWD setup it was a fierce competitor in the “Hot Hatch” segment. The SR20DET powering the GTI-R made 227hp and 210 lb-ft of torque. Nissan entered the GTI-R in WRC’s Group A rally tournament in 1991 and ’92.
