1989 Nissan Skyline GTR

43,553 km or 27,063 miles

Aftermarket front mount intercooler
HKS Hi-Power exhaust
Aftermarket two-piece wheels
Red-stitched interior accents

Here is a great example of a first-year production GTR. This particular example would make a fine fixture in anyone’s garage! The mileage is exceptionally low, considering this car just hit 30(!) years old. There are also a few additions worth noting. The interior for example is equipped with Nissan’s factory offered “Nismo” look. Even though it wasn’t actually offered on the Nismo model, the Nismo performance shop offered this upgrade to make an ordinary GTR feel a bit more special, and it truly does. Included are the front-seat covers, rear-seat covers, shift boot, armrest cover, and handbrake boot. The red stitching is a nice touch, and makes the already sporty cabin look that much better. The front covers have seen better days, but we just can’t bring ourselves to delete this $1,000 factory option! As a side note, The HKS Hi-Power exhaust adds a properly aggressive note, and epitomizes the performance car sound. The two-piece aftermarket wheels are also in great condition, with no sign of curbing.

R32 Information:

Entering production in August 1989, the R32 Skyline GT-R was revolutionary in it’s class. It was nicknamed “Godzilla” in Australia due to it’s ability to outperform the V8 muscle cars that were popular during the time. With a 276hp 2.6L twin-turbo inline 6 and all-wheel drive, it could dominate on the drag strip or road course. The motor was matched to a 5 speed Getrag manual with a final drive ratio of 4.111. Also available was a 4 wheel steering system, helping the GT-R utilize all of it’s available grip. With a plethora of aftermarket parts and tuning it’s possible to push 1000hp from the GT-R.
