1995 Nissan Skyline GTR V-Spec

Arriving by end of February 2020
R33 Information:
While the R33 platform debuted in 1993, the GTR didn’t arrive until 1995. Nissan studied the various flaws of the R32 GTR, and worked to address these with the R33. Safety was a bigger concern due to stricter crash testing laws, and the R33 grew in both size and weight accordingly. Aerodynamics and cooling improved thanks to better body design. HICAS returned in the form of Super-HICAS, as well as the ATESSA AWD system. The RB26DETT also saw a few revisions which added torque (power output was limited to 276hp thanks to the Gentlemen’s Agreement). The turbos also saw a few improvements, although the turbine wheel was still ceramic like the R32, it was a little more robust and efficient overall. Similar to the R32, the R33 saw quite a few special versions released over its production cycle. The V-Spec returned, as well as the GTR LM (LeMans), the Nismo 400R with its 395hp 2.8L RBX-GT2 and 6-speed Getrag manual, as well as the 4-door Autech GT-R which added practicality to the capability. Overall, the R33 GTR saw a total production run of 16,668 units, vastly smaller than the nearly 44,000 R32 GTR’s.
